During the COVID-19 crisis, Trophy Hut, a local sporting goods store, created a recognition program in which businesses could purchase pins and plaques to display proudly in their stores as a way to recognize the sacrifice of their brave employees working on the front lines.
During that time of disruption, the impact on giving was every bit as powerful as receiving. The New York Cancer Foundation was one of two local non-profits who were the recipients of a portion of the proceeds from the recognition program. Cancer patients were especially impacted by COVID-19 being unable to work, and home-bound during the crisis.
Those who recognized their frontline heroes, simultaneously supported the New York Cancer Foundation, helping hundreds of patients conquer cancer.
