Drive-In Movie Night Featuring Grease
On Friday, July 17th, 2020 the New York Cancer Foundation hosted a drive-in movie night featuring Grease! Many NYCBS patients, families, staff, and friends joined the fun. The Felico's food truck offered drinks and food for everyone to enjoy during the movie. The event was a great way to keep everyone socially distanced while still raising funds to help cancer patients in need!

Thank you to the sponsors!

"Laugh in the Face of Cancer!"
Laughter is the best medicine! On September 25th, 2019 the New York Cancer Foundation hosted a Comedy Night at Barito Restaurant in Port Jefferson debuting our very own cancer survivor, Monica Rea.

Portraits by Patients
On October 5, 2018 and November 7, 2018 the New York Cancer Foundation provided patients and friends an opportunity to participate in a unique, highly effective program to help cancer survivors express and cope with their experiences, thoughts, and emotions through creative arts workshops. Art is introduced as an agent of promoting health and positivity through focus and relaxation in overcoming the trauma and stress associated with living with cancer. The creative art program was led by high qualified leader, Nancy Reed-Jones, who is associated with the Wallkill River School of Art in the Hudson Valley.
Pretty in Pink
In 2018, Owner & Founder of Great South Bay Brewery, Rick Sobotka, saw the need to help fellow Long Islanders struggling with cancer, so he created a limited edition, Guava infused IPA (India Pale Ale), called Pretty In Pink. Just in time for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Rick and his team poured their heart and soul into this pink brew with the hope that every last sip will benefit fellow Long Islanders during the month of October.
Great South Bay Brewery donated the proceeds from each can purchased to the NY Cancer Foundation! Representatives from the Foundation gathered at the brewery on Friday, October 19th to receive this money in a check for $7,500!
